1/31/08 III Chemistry Experiment

My mom and I had fun doing this one at home. Basically we had to put salt in two test tubes, fill one with water, one with vegetable oil, and shake VIGOROUSLY! (Covering the lids of course! [The book said to cover the hole with your thumb. XD])

Well...we didn't have any test tubes. LOL. We made a big mess, not over ourselves though, thankfully. But the tops of the glasses were hard to cover while shaking... XD

Oh yes, and the results? Yes, the salt dissolves in the water. No, it does not dissolve in the oil. :)

^^ This picture is of the veggie oil plus the salt. I have another, with the water beside it, but this marks 31 pictures this month and I'm all caught up =D

My friend's Caribou smoothie at school today. It looked yummy... I even deciced to buy something for a change and got a white hot cocoa (that wasn't really hot, but it tasted good anyway)

1/24/08 Sparkling Snow

Poor snowman. I didn't quite finish him. He lasted a week though!... Before he melted. XD I took this in the morning, just as the sun was rising. The snow looked so pretty!

1/23/08 Am. Literature

Today was my first American Literature class at a new place. I took it last semester at a 'highschool for homeschoolers' but because of class conflicts, I'm now taking it somewhere else. This is my book. (No, it wasn't taken at my own home, finally! This is my friend's carpet =P)

1/22/08 Mexican Plate

Last of the make up pictures. I took this one because I thought it was about time to take a picture of something we got in Mexico, 3 years ago now. (Wow...seems like yesterday).

We picked this up in Alamos, Sonora, I think. If it wasn't Alamos it was some other random town. (Lol, I remember a lot, no?) The shops were fun to look in. I'd show you actual pictures of Mexico, but they weren't taken in 2008 and we won't be going back any time soon...:(

It's cold here. I need a vacation.

1/20/08 Misty

My camera broke! For two straight days I couldn't get it to work until on the 22nd my mom picked it up, turned it on, and it worked fine! I guess all it needed was a mother's touch...;)

So, in attempt to make it up, I took really random pictures of Misty. It was nighttime and there was nothing else to photograph that was interesting...

She looks so funny! That's her cardboard box, the one she adopted. We made a toy out of a yard stick, which we tied fishing line to, and attatched a blue bead on the end. She never gets tired of chasing it and I love the way her eyes get as big as saucers when she spots it. :D

1/19/08 Peter Pan

So last Saturday (I know, I know, I haven't posted in a while...)
we went to see the play Peter Pan at a church.
It was quite good, for being so unprofessional.

1/18/08 II MN History Center

Yesterday, we went to the Minnesota History Center on a field trip. The funnest thing all day, I think, was taking these pictures. The top one is my favorite. I took separate pictures of the window in the ceiling, and the plane, but thought they looked much better together.

This second picture is of the ceiling inside this small...I don't know. It was a small enclosed area where we sat in seats that forces us to look upward at a screen. It showed a video/presentation thing about flying, in planes and space ships. This was when we were 'taking off' and everything was rumbing. They showed the flames that you would see coming out the bottom. (forgive me for these terms, as I'm not educated in all this! XD)

1/14/08 The Cat and the Rose

^^ Leave it up to me to come up with a silly, boring title. XD The roses were just too pretty to just let them stay there, unflashed at...So my mom and I took more pictures. This big rose picture is hers, the rest are mine. My mom's is better ;) Also, this is my cat, Misty Mittens, though it's not a very good picture of her. I'll have some better ones later.

Edit: Okay, so actually my mom took the other rose picture! Not my dad...

1/13/08 Chocolate

I couldn't resist taking a picture of my most favorite chocolate ever!! Lindt dark chocolate truffles...*mouth waters* I saw this really cool light up sign that said chocolate on it, on the way back home on Sunday, but it was gone before I could take a picture. Nevertheless, chocolate you shall have, however blurry the photo is...=P

First Post - Though A Little Behind.

Project 365. One Photo a Day for 365 days....or 366, since it's a leap year. =D I heard about it from Mangy on the CleanPlace forum. Let's hope I can keep up!

I may be starting a little late, though I think I can find pictures for most of the days I missed. Hopefully...some...maybe. But I'll take extras to make up for them. =P
